Andy's Music Lessons Policies
1. Scheduling Lessons - Students are expected to attend their regularly scheduled time each week. If your schedule changes, please let me know ASAP, and we will find a suitable time to reschedule.
2. Punctuality - Students are expected to be present at the start of the scheduled lesson time. If a student arrives late, the lesson will end at its originally scheduled end time (e.g. if a student’s lesson was scheduled for 30 minutes starting at 3:00 PM and a student arrives 5 minutes late, the lesson will end at 3:30 PM).
3. Student Cancellations - 24-hour notice ahead of the regularly scheduled lesson time is required for a student to be eligible to reschedule a missed lesson. Student cancellations can only be refunded when they fall on holidays. (See number 7 for holiday dates) Students are welcome to swap their in-person lesson for an online lesson. Please just give at least an hour’s notice.
4. Makeups - Makeup lessons may be issued at my discretion based on availability. If no makeup times are available, or no mutual time is feasible, the missed lesson is considered forfeited after 14 days.
4. Teacher Cancellation - If Andy cancels a lesson and no makeup is scheduled, the lesson will be credited or refunded depending on the student/families preference.
5. Billing- Students/families will be billed automatically at the start of each month through Stripe using MyMusic Staff. Paid invoices and receipts will be emailed to students/family after billing is processed.
6. Stopping Lessons- If you would like to discontinue lessons, student/families will need to give a 15 day notice to end next month's billing cycle.
7. Holidays - If your scheduled lesson lands on a Holiday - posted below- you may cancel that lesson for a lesson credit with at least a 24 hour notice.

8. Summer- During June, July and August, students may cancel up to 2 lessons per month for a refund with adequate notice.
9. COVID-19 Policy - All lessons may move online at any point due to the ongoing pandemic. Mask wearing is optional unless COVID cases are rising in the city of Austin. Andy is fine with wearing a mask if requested. Request an online lesson if COVID is at all suspected or confirmed in your household.
